Create Pool

Create a liquidity pool to enable trading for your token on the SUI blockchain.

What is a Liquidity Pool?

A liquidity pool is a smart contract that holds two tokens and allows users to trade between them. By creating a pool, you enable decentralized trading for your token without the need for traditional order books.

Pools use an Automated Market Maker (AMM) mechanism where prices are determined by the ratio of tokens in the pool.

Pool Parameters

Token A

The first token in your trading pair (usually your custom token)

Select from your wallet or enter token address

Token B

The second token in your trading pair (commonly SUI)

Recommended: SUI for maximum liquidity

Initial Price Ratio

Set the starting exchange rate between the two tokens

Example: If 1 TOKEN = 0.1 SUI, deposit tokens in a 10:1 ratio

How to Create a Pool

  1. 1

Navigate to "Create Pool" on SUI Lab

  2. 2

Select Token A (your token) and Token B (usually SUI)

  3. 3

Enter the initial amounts for both tokens

  4. 4

    Review the initial price ratio

  5. 5

    Confirm and sign the transaction

  6. 6

Add initial liquidity to activate the pool

Important Considerations

  • • The initial price ratio determines the starting trading price
  • • Youll need both tokens in your wallet to create the pool
  • • Pool creation fees typically range from 0.01 to 0.05 SUI
  • • Consider adding significant initial liquidity to reduce price volatility
