Understanding Swap Mechanics
Exchange Rate
The rate is determined by the ratio of tokens in the liquidity pool. Large trades can impact the price (price impact). The displayed rate includes all fees.
Slippage
Slippage is the difference between expected and actual execution price. Set your maximum acceptable slippage - if exceeded, the transaction will fail to protect you.
Price Impact
Large swaps relative to pool size cause price impact. For better rates on large trades, consider splitting into smaller swaps or using multiple pools.
